I you're like most people, you just set a couple of resolutions for the New Year. Are you going to lose 10 pounds? Make 10,000 more dollars? Connect with 27 new people? Start a new business? The key is to reach beyond the past and become more than we were.
But remember, growth never happens by accident. Here are 5 strategies you can employ to make this the best year ever.

1. Plan for success
What do you really want this year? What do you see in your future? When you turn on the map feature on your phone, it always lets you know where you are now. That way, when you put in an address or a search, a route is calculated. Two pins must drop.
The root that is calculated is your travel plan. Follow the directions and you arrive at your destination in the specific amount of time.
Do you have a business plan for this year?
Do you have a workout plan?
Or a marketing plan?
Or a networking plan?
Or even a growth plan?
You want to have these defined or your goals will end up just being dreams.
2. Expand online
The internet is the smorseborg to explode your business this year. You gain access to a gigantic audience through the online world. Yes, of course, there are algorythms to try to master to reach people through social media channels, but that is not the only way. You can write an eBook and sell it on Amazon. You can run ads to your target market. You can also post on conversation threads like Quora. Spend the time researching your audience so you can find them. There is strength in numbers. When you win over a group with your products, you have easier access to their networks.
3. Know what makes you tick
What are your habits? Where did they come from? Your habits are the code that cause you to reach your current potential. Once you know exactly why you are in your current place, you can make minor changes to reach the rest of your potential. It is not big change that creates your success, it is small change that creates an expanding ripple. Change your morning routine to include a workout, and increase your energy. What can you do with this energy? Anything you want...
4. Track your growth
You cannot manage what you do not measure. Set up your stat tracker. How many people do you need to talk to for each sale? You will know once you track it for a couple of weeks. How many sales do you need to make to live comfortably? Talk to the number of people it takes to make that many sales. How is your message lanfing on social media? Track the number of conversations you get from each message... How many posts do you need to make to have the conversations you need to have to make the number of sales you need to make to live the life you want?
The numbers will guide you to the life you want.
5. Network better
The global population is roughly 7 million people. For you to truly thrive in your business, you need to reach and serve 1-10 thousand of those. Where are your perfect clients? Define your perfect client, then figure out who they would know. Build an avatar for the group you want to network with so you find it faster and build the life you want more efficiently. There is nothing worse than spending years networking with people who don't help you improve your business and life.
Generally, your perfect client is on the other end of a perfect introduction. This is why it is so important to network. It is also why it is so important to collect social proof of why your prroduct or service is amazing and delivers results.
